Bantry Bay Banksia

Along my regular walk along the Bantry Bay foreshore, a Banksia flower caught my eye against the brilliant blue midday sky. In the foreground, the leaves caught the sunlight, illuminating vivid orange and yellow colours and bringing the whole scene to life. The painting can be viewed at the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair at the Groundspace Gallery. 63cm x 63 cm, acrylic on canvas, dark stained timber frame.
