Early Morning Banksia

On an early morning walk at Manly’s North Head Sanctuary, just as the sun was rising, I noticed a single Banksia leaf catching the first light. It seemed to glow against the surrounding landscape, radiating the same sense of warmth, optimism and possibility I was feeling in that moment. 93 × 93cm, Acrylic on canvas, dark stained wooden frame. Can be viewed at the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair with the Groundspace Gallery.
